Cross Sections / Peroxy radicals / Alkylperoxy+Br,I / CH2BrCH2O2 / CrowleyMoortgat(1992)_298K_200-280nm(fit)

DATAFILE: CH2BrCH2O2_CrowleyMoortgat(1992)_298K_200-280nm(fit).txt
NAME: 2-bromoethylperoxy radical
FORMULA: CH2BrCH2O2
AUTHOR(YEAR): CrowleyMoortgat(1992)
T: 298K
λ: 200-280nm(fit)
BIBLIOGRAPHY: J.N. Crowley and G.K. Moortgat, "2-Bromoethylperoxy and 2-bromo-1-methylpropylperoxy radicals - Ultraviolet absorption spectra and self reaction rate constants at 298 K", J. Chem. Soc. Faraday Trans. 88, 2437-2444 (1992); DOI: 10.1039/FT9928802437
COMMENTS: Absorption cross sections measured using the molecular modulation technique; modulated production of the peroxy radical by the regularly interrupted photolysis of flowing Br2/C2H4/O2 mixtures; deuterium lamp as a light source, photomultiplier tube-monochromator arrangement at a single wavelength (resolution ca. 1.5 nm) or a diode-array camera (resolution better than 0.2 nm)

Fitted results with deconvolution of HO2:

σ(T) = σmax(T) exp{-a(T) [ln(λmax/λ)]2} with

λmax = 242.4 nm, σmax = 4.09×10-18 cm2 molecule-1, and a = 55.6
